Wedding Venue: Mile End Arts Pavillion
Mile End Arts Pavillion is a fantastic venue for a city wedding. It’s located in Mile End Park, East London. It boasts a lake and landscaped park surroundings, blending city and nature perfectly, allowing for fun group images like the one shown below. It’s a short 10 minute walk from both the Central Line (Mile End) and District Line (Stepney Green) so very convienient for guests.
The green backdrop makes for beautiful group shots, and the nearby canal creates a romantic setting for couple shots after the ceremony.
The venue itself has a full glass exterior on one side facing the lake and features wooden beams throughout. They can host both the ceremony and reception, making it a great choice for couples looking to host the entire day in one location.
During Max and Tom’s wedding, they provided wooden chairs for the ceremony, three long group tables for the dinner and a DJ booth for the dance floor later on in the evening. The day flowed easily and transitioned smoothly without guests needing to move locations.
I think this is a fantastic venue for a laidback wedding of around 100 guests. It’s perfect for those who love nature within the city and want an artsy feel to their day. I would also recommend this location for couples with a smaller budget as there are lots of DIY reception ideas you could execute in this venue.
